june 18th.09
it was 7:49am, and i heard my phone in my sleep, it wakes me up....but i ignored, i continue to lay there.....it rings again, i ignore. but in my mind, i'm thinking is this THE CALL, the call to hear that my sister has had her baby? ...... i lay there some more, thinking no....juanita...don't get your hopes up......it rings again!!! it was amanda again......i spring up, and say hello to hear her excited, yet calm voice say "we had a baby, it's a girl"....."come see her, but you have to bring me a starbucks when you come"
I screamed so loud tegg started crying.
cedar don sakundiak was born into this world....9 lbs 1 oz....on a incredible sunny spring morning.
lola is a big sister.....kipp and amanda now found the love in their hearts for another daughter.....a gorgeous, dark haired, dark eyes, round faced little cedar.
i dress, very quickly, i dress tegg very quickly, i pack his breakfast, i forgot about mine.....and i'm in the car traveling not to the hospital this time.....but to their house.
i was aware for a long time that my sister had this dream to have it at home.....and i'm so glad she never let negative influences, stories, thoughts, or fears, come in her way. ...... she knew herself best, her dreams, her strengths, her boundaries, her emotions and she followed those, and at 7:05am cedar fell into kipps hands, in the peaceful surrounding of their safe and warm home.
no better way to arrive into this world.
i wish cedar a beautiful life full of all thats to come.
i'm so overjoyed as an auntie to watch, and become as close to her as i am to her older sister lola. i know these girls will share the amazing bond that amanda and i have....i know they will laugh, love, play, whisper, fight, giggle, sing, shop, cry, hug, travel, together as we have.....and i know the love they will feel from their mom and dad will be so deep, real & true.
amanda you have made me so proud of you once again, i'm inspired by your strength, and your family that is so real.
this was an incredible day,
i will never forget it.

(06.11.09 @ 10:48AM)it was a privilege to go out with my 'very' pregnant sister in her last month of count down. i photographed her in her beauty, with the ones she loves most!
i now know myself the overwhelming feeling of bringing a baby into the world, so i look at my sister with much appreciation for her past 8 months & for what she's about to do. i have seen in Kipp the support and love a husband can be.
Lola will have a sibling, Kipp and Amanda will have a new baby, i will be a auntie again, and the list goes on and on. if the baby only knew how much love it is being born into. it's an amazing thing.
Kipp, Amanda & Lola - thanks for being the family you are. bring on baby number two.

what can i say - i love these and i love the girl who captured us. i am so so lucky to have a sister that is this talented and who will push and pull a 9 month prego lady out to get these special moments. juan - thank you . i love you forever and it was so much fun being in front of the lens knowing you were the one taking the picture.

oh my sista - you did it again. i am in tears, tears of joy - i have such a beautiful family and it all started with our family. you and me. us sister and our bond. now i am so lucky to have two girls. i hope they can be just like us. i love you and thank you for this - i know you are busy and this take time.
